Sony NEC Optiarc CRX880A – CD-RW / DVD-ROM combo drive – IDE is combo drive from Sony. It supports Windows and OSX operating systems. The disc burner is capable of reading and writing a DVD disc at 22X speed and blu-ray rewritable disc at 16X speed. It is backward compatible and supports DVD, DVD-R, CD, dual layer discs etc. The speed ranges from 40X for reading CDs and 24X for writing, 8X for regular DVDs and 4X for DVD rewritable. This device an- internal disc burner should be connected via IDE connection. The burner performs decently, but it is no match for the modern drives.
