Having Fun With IRS Audit
Most people do not think of an IRS audit as something fun. But, you should not stress yourself out just because you have received a letter from the IRS about something that were or were not on your tax return.
If you have received a letter from the IRS, do not ignore it. The IRS hates for their letters to not get a response. You can respond with a strategy. You do not have to agree with the IRS about what they found but you need to reply still.
Just treat them as if they are just another organization that you need to respond to. Take the opportunity to find out what the IRS found and what they wanted.
