My Time With High Quality Flap Wheels
Flap Wheel Sanders can be described as rotating tools that may be used on a grinder. Radiating from a central hub are the strips (or flaps) of abrasive material for which these tools were named. Bonding the flaps together and to the hub, with adhesive, is the most common method of fastening the flaps to the hub. Examples of uses for flap wheels are de-nibbing, edge breaking, proper stain application, and sanding. Sanding manually can be avoided if you use flap wheels instead, thus reducing the time and effort spent on this task. These tools, when used for sanding items that have contours or profiles, are especially useful and effective. Flap wheels’ flexibility is why they are used for fine sanding and they don’t put burns or white lines on an item’s finish. Output of impressive quality is produced when you use flap wheels for sanding, because they are designed for consistent results.
