Toliet Lid for Disabled Instead of New Toliet

My son was left moderately disabled after a car accident a year ago. He can take care of himself in many ways but sometimes going to the toilet can be a little bit of a challenge. His physical therapist suggested that we look into a specialized toilet seat instead of installing a complete disabled toilet. The therapist indicated that the toilet would be beneficial but the cost of the seat would be much lower and better meet our budget. We are experiencing money constraints, so we are going to try the toilet seat first.  If the difficulty still persist we will then seek help with the expenses for replacing the toilet.
