The End of Old Age as We Know It?
I am in my middle forties so I don’t consider myself to be too close to old age as of yet. However, I do have a couple of parents who would qualify for that label. Every year it gets more and more difficult for me to watch my father, in particular, suffer the effects of getting old. He has cancer and probably won’t be around too much longer. I saw something on TV that gave me a little hope, though. There is a new discovery of a substance that is found in the skin of red grapes called reservatol. According to the report, people like my father may one day be able to use this substance to enjoy a higher quality of existence at the end of their life.
