Stressful Life Changes Can Trigger the Onset of Panic Disorder

A panic anxiety disorder can cripple your lifestyle, your career, relationships and your general well-being. Panic attacks usually starts during teens and early adulthood. It hits 1 out of 75 of the population. The exact cause of this condition is not known but some factors may contribute in triggering it. Sudden major life changes that are stressful can contribute. Having a first baby, getting married, getting a divorce or death in the family can all trigger the syndrome. Some experts say that there may be a genetic disposition to panic attacks. Psychotherapy and medication are the usual methods of panic attack treatment.
