History of the Foreign Exchange Market
History is interesting no matter what industry we are talking about. If we are talking about the history of the biggest financial market in the world, then we are talking about the foreign exchange market. This market came into full full in the late 1970s. This was due to countries starting to adopt floating exchange. Previously, the Bretton Woods agreement was in place and trading was pegged at the US dollar. These days, there are some estimates that say that over several trillion dollars are traded in this foreign market on a daily basis. That sure is a lot of transactions every day!
