What are the Benefits of Having a Gas Credit Card?

I am wondering how many people out there actually own a use a gas credit card, which is a card that is specifically designated for buying a certain brand of gasoline. I don’t have one. The closest thing I have is a Visa that rewards me for purchasing fuel. I am wondering what are the benefits of having a card that you can use for gasoline at certain stations? Do you get a discount on the price that everyone else pays? Do you have to pay interest on your purchases if you pay them off during the grace period? I have many questions.
