Really effective property advertising starts with understanding how renters look for vacation rentals in your destination. By understanding the specific search terms, or keywords, that they’re using, you will be able to rank well for those terms and show up high in the search results. One free tool that’s a great starting point is “Google Suggest”. Just go to Google’s main search page and type a broad term like “Ft. Lauderdale Vacation” in. While it will suggest many terms that don’t apply, it will also suggest some keywords that you hadn’t thought of, for example, “Ft. Lauderdale Vacation House” came up for me. That’s not a term I would have considered, but it does get traffic. So, I’ll put it on my list and see how much traffic it gets! This is a great place for you to start brainstorming keywords that your market will use.
